When i search for files using the search button it freezes.
How can i get to my backup files without using the search?
First, make backup for all your personal files before have any crash/problem.
Microsoft do not provide any suitable or trustful solution for backup.
My suggestion for you is try the service Mozy, for online backup, for free:
