I'm don't want Windows Vista any more. I'm planning to cross over to Linux ~Kubuntu KDE 4. And I would like to backup my whole Installation just in case. I'm willing to buy software if I have to. But I would prefer not to.
I seriously suggest openSUSE 11.0's kde 4 cause kubuntu is the worst kde 4 distro out there.
As for your hard disk I suggest buying a new hard disk and keeping the vista one just in case cause well the software that does this is about as expensive as a new hard disk it self.

openSUSE is very easy and is the best, kubuntu's kde 4 remix is horrible.
